A) Medical Retina :
Exposure to a Variety of Medical Retina Cases :
- Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)
- Diabetic Retinopathy
- Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO)
- Posterior Choroiditis
- Glaucoma
- Hereditary Macular Dystrophy
- Medical Glaucoma
- Neuro-Ophthalmology
- Uveitis
Understanding and Using Various Investigations and Imaging Modalities :
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
- Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA)
- Optomap
Hands-On Experience :
- Retinal Laser (10-60 lasers depending on proficiency)
- Intravitreal Injections (10-100 injections depending on proficiency)
B) Cataract Fellowship :
- Focus on Refractive Cataract Surgery
- Approach to Complicated Cataract Surgery
Hands-On Experience :
- Supervised Phacoemulsification (Phaco) Surgeries (Minimum 10, up to 50 depending on proficiency)
- Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) (10-50 surgeries depending on proficiency)
Additional Information :
- Stipend : ₹35,000 per month
- Duration of Fellowship : 1 year
- Academic Discussions : Twice a month
C) Phaco-Refractive Fellowship :
What is expected in Phaco Refractive Fellowship?
- Excellent exposure of all variety of technologies and surgeries including LASIK, Femtolasik, Contoura, SMILE, CXL, CXL with PRK, CXL with PTK, ICL, IPCL, RIL and RLE.
- Independent Hands on experience in Phaco-Emulsification and variety of refractive procedures - 50 to 100 Phaco and 75 to 150 independent refractive surgeries.
Additional Information :
- Stipend : ₹35,000 per month
- Criteria : Sincerity, Hardwork, Commitment and Empathy towards Patients
- Duration : 18 months
